Broads Authority staff celebrate 25th Anniversary and support Love the Broads

Staff at the Broads Authority have exceeded their target of £250 by £100 in sponsorship by running, walking or cycling 25km on Saturday 17th May to celebrate the organisation’s 25th anniversary to raise money for projects to protect and nurture Britain’s magical waterland.  An amazing total of £350 has been raised.

Dozens of staff took off from Whitlingham and continuing along Weaver’s Way to Loddon, where their journey ended with a well-earned barbecue washed down with Woodforde’s Flagondry – an ale especially brewed to mark the Authority’s silver anniversary.

All sponsorship raised by staff will go to the Love the Broads charity, which administers projects to benefit conservation, environment and tourism facilities within the Broads and its immediate surroundings.
