National Anglers Line Recycling Scheme arrives in the Broads
The Norfolk Broads is the UK’s largest inland fishery, attracting over 1.5 million angler days per year, the vast majority of which are visiting anglers or new or novice anglers. This project will bring the National Anglers Line Recycling scheme to the banks of the Broads.
The scheme will reduce the amount of fishing litter (line) in the Broads, protecting not only wildlife but reducing the build up of micro plastics in the ecosystem.
The grant received will be used towards the installation of 30 line bins at 20 locations across the Broads.
Grant Applicant: Broads Angling Services Group (CIC) Ltd
Funding received from Love the Broads: £750
Project completion date: April 2023 (at the latest)
